What does a typical landscape season look like on Cape Cod?
We start the season with Spring cleanups, which focus on cleaning and weeding your planting beds as needed, and then re-edging the beds to prepare for mulch (by request). It is also important that pruning or thinning of herbaceous plantings, as well as deadwood removal be taken care of at this time. In the Spring, plants are coming out of dormancy and will respond very well to this treatment. We finish your cleanup by dethatching all the lawn areas and blowing off any debris.
Mulching follows shortly after the cleanup and is applied to all planting beds at a depth of no more than 2”, with extra care taken to avoid “mulch mounding” around the base of plantings; this can cause rotting to occur. Regular mulching of planting beds aids in moisture retention and keeps root systems cool and insulated during hot summer months.
Throughout the Summer season (a.k.a. the “growing” season), consistent weekly lawn mowing ensures your turf remains healthy, vibrant, and at an optimal height. Additionally, a couple of visits are usually recommended to perform regular pruning and trimming of plants, weeding, cleaning of beds, and checking on overall landscape health.
Fall cleanups
signify the season’s end with removal of leaves and debris from all lawn and planting bed areas, cleaning of first floor gutters as needed, and removal of deadwood from perennials. The start of this service varies year-to-year depending on temperature and when the leaves begin to drop. On average, we begin at the end of November. A good fall cleanup not only gets your property in shape and ready for winter, but also eliminates damage caused by leaves left decaying upon lawn areas.

This service includes core aeration, overseeding, and compost top dressing and is typically completed in the late summer/early fall season (August – October)

How does the Seasonal Maintenance Program work?
Every client begins with our Foundation Program, which provides the essential services required to properly enhance your property throughout the season.
From there, you may select from our Curated Enhancements to create a maintenance program tailored specifically to your landscape’s needs. Once your selections are finalized, we prepare a detailed service agreement customized to your property, outlining the scope of work and your investment for the season.
What are my payment options?
We offer two flexible payment options:
Option 1: Fixed Monthly Payments
Your seasonal program total is divided into nine equal monthly payments, invoiced on the 1st of each month from April 1st through December 1st.
This option provides consistency, simplicity, and predictable budgeting throughout the season.
Option 2: Pay As Services Are Completed
Your services are scheduled for the season in advance, and invoices are issued as each service is performed. (Weekly lawn mowing is invoiced monthly on the 1st.)
This option offers flexibility while maintaining a structured maintenance schedule.

What if I would like additional work completed during the season?
Our maintenance packages only cover maintenance work. They exclude Landscape construction, hardscape, irrigation installations, and snow plowing. If you would like us to do any work outside of what is included in your selected package, you are always welcome to contact us to schedule that work and you will be invoiced separately (one time) for those services.
